Land Access Road

Extending the community’s main road, to Nuvuk along the beach, is a project being tackled by Larry Audlaluk, our Community Economic Development Officer.

It’s an ongoing project. Progress is gradual, but the initiative is one that will be of great benefit to the community, and to visitors to Grise Fiord.

The road is an opportunity to “get outta of town”, relax on the tundra, have a picnic, and view local “fauna and flora”!

Part of the road has been completed, and in addition to the above it is also being used for hunting and fishing purposes.
