New Municipal Parking Garage

The intention of the Government of Nunavut’s Municipal Parking Garage Program is to address the Nunavut-wide need for indoor parking space, for municipal vehicles that deliver municipal services. Municipal parking garages are a top priority for the Department of Community Government and Services (CGS).

Under this Program (still subject to our funding application being accepted) the Hamlet of Grise Fiord will receive the capital funding required to manage the planning, design, and construction of either an additional 4 or 6-Bay garage. There should be very little cost to the Hamlet for this project.

We have a site in mind for the structure, on the northeast side of the road to the power plant.
